Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing, purchasing and customs clearance activities for the company in Phnom Penh. This role ensures that goods and services are obtained efficiently, delivered on time, and meet the required specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new suppliers for goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to monitor delivery schedules and service performance.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases, ensuring accurate contact information.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and track their status with requestors.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodian customs.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Cambodian tax and customs regulations.
• Strong teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
