Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for the company, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with specifications, and alignment with budgetary constraints. This role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customs agents to maintain an efficient procurement workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new sources for goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and service fulfillment.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases, including contact details and product information.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, or returns.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts, and quotations for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipment and customs clearance.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment coordination, and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Cambodian customs, tax provisions, and procurement regulations.
• Strong teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good negotiation and analytical capabilities.
