Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing, purchasing and customs clearance of goods and services for the company in Cambodia. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, the role ensures timely delivery, compliance with specifications and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new suppliers for goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery terms and payment conditions for accuracy.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis and obtain management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track order status and resolve issues such as defects or returns.
• Update and maintain supplier, price and contact databases.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and quotations for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Document all procurement activities in accordance with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance in Cambodia.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong teamwork skills in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good negotiation and analytical abilities.
