Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for the organization, ensuring timely delivery, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with internal policies and Cambodian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new suppliers and sources for goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery terms, and payment conditions to ensure suitability.
• Obtain supplier quotations, conduct quote analysis, and prepare recommendations for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to monitor order status, delivery timelines, and contract compliance.
• Update and maintain supplier, price, and product databases.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Handle issue resolution such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation, ensuring proper record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment coordination, and customs clearance in Cambodia.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Understanding of procurement procedures and supplier management.
• Knowledge of Cambodian customs clearance processes.
• Basic awareness of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts (asset).
