Project Officer – Maternal & Child Health & Global Health Security

About the role

The Project Officer will support a health‑system strengthening initiative that restores and improves maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and global health security services in three Cambodian provinces after the 2025 border displacement crisis. Reporting to the Team Leader and Senior Project Manager, the officer will coordinate with national health authorities, NGOs and local health facilities to ensure timely delivery of project outputs from April 2026 for nine months.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of project activities across target provinces.
• Facilitate data collection, analysis and reporting in line with MCH/SBCC‑MIYCN and GHS standards.
• Liaise with the National Maternal and Child Health Center, CDC, Provincial Health Departments, operational districts and health centers.
• Support training sessions for health workers and community volunteers.
• Assist in logistics planning for outreach, including risk assessments related to UXO and disease outbreaks.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and donors.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets, timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, medicine, nursing or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience managing MNCH or global health security projects.
• Familiarity with the Cambodian health system and experience working with NGOs or UN agencies.
• Strong analytical, reporting and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a multilingual environment and travel to remote sites.
