Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a reliable driver to operate and maintain its office vehicle(s) in Preah Vihear, Cambodia. The role involves daily transportation of staff, officials and documents while ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with IOM policies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) for official duties.
• Perform daily checks of tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt and other components to guarantee roadworthiness.
• Arrange minor repairs, keep vehicles clean and ensure regular service intervals.
• Maintain records of spare parts and conduct monthly inventory.
• Plan the most direct and safe routes using maps and navigation tools.
• Prepare daily log sheets and a monthly report on mileage, fuel consumption and other statistics.
• Meet officials at airports and assist with immigration and customs formalities.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and parcels to and from the country office, post office, government agencies and other UN entities.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of driving rules, traffic laws and safety protocols.

Required skills

• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Experience driving a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and basic maintenance.
• Proficiency in map reading, navigation and route planning.
• Basic use of radio, email and telephone communication tools.
