Wastewater Treatment Operator

About the role

The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operator will manage daily operations of the water treatment facility within the ISI Special Economic Zone. Reporting to the WTP&WWTP Supervisor, the operator ensures continuous production of treated water that meets all regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor intake, filtration, chemical dosing, disinfection, and distribution processes.
• Adjust pump flow rates, chemical dosages, and valve settings to optimise performance.
• Collect and test water samples for pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, and conductivity; record results and report deviations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and dosing equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms, equipment failures, or water‑quality incidents and assist with contingency plans.
• Follow health, safety and environmental protocols, using appropriate PPE and handling chemicals safely.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation.

• Preventive maintenance of mechanical and chemical treatment assets.
• Ability to monitor and adjust operational parameters to meet standards.
