Laboratory Specialist – Environmental Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Laboratory Specialist to join our regional environmental consultancy team in Cambodia. The role supports environmental impact assessments, initial examinations and management plans by delivering accurate laboratory analyses of water, soil and air samples.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and prepare field samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform chemical and physical analyses of water, soil and air quality according to standardized protocols.
• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Record, organize and verify test results, ensuring data integrity.
• Contribute data and findings to technical reports for EIA, IEE and ESMP deliverables.
• Coordinate sampling schedules with project teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Cambodia and travel for occasional fieldwork.
• Previous experience in environmental laboratories or impact assessment projects in Southeast Asia is an advantage.
