Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an organized and energetic Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations at our supermarket distribution centre. You will manage a team of associates, ensure accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of products, and keep our shelves stocked by meeting tight delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule warehouse staff, including selectors, forklift operators, and drivers.
• Assign daily workloads, communicate targets, safety reminders, and performance expectations.
• Train new hires on standard operating procedures and coach the team.
• Oversee ambient, refrigerated, and frozen zones to maintain cold‑chain compliance.
• Enforce FEFO/FIFO inventory rotation to reduce waste.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, manage picking waves, and resolve discrepancies.
• Supervise inbound receiving and outbound loading, ensuring shipment accuracy.
• Conduct cycle counts, audits, and monitor equipment maintenance.
• Track KPIs such as order picking accuracy, on‑time shipping, and shift productivity.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of warehouse experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in grocery or cold‑storage environments preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; logistics or supply‑chain degree a plus.
• Ability to work in temperatures down to –18°F and lift up to 20 kg.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Certified forklift operation.
