Trade Coordinator

About the role

The Trade Coordinator supports daily trade operations by managing space allocation, cargo flow, and vessel schedules. Working closely with internal teams, regional offices, and customers, the role ensures efficient cargo planning and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily forecasts (iSpace) and cargo projections.
• Monitor vessel space utilization and booking commitments.
• Coordinate space allocation, booking approvals, cargo diversion, and advancement with Capacity Management and Liner teams.
• Prepare weekly and monthly lifting, utilization, and cargo forecasting reports.
• Update cargo loading status and Shipment on Board (SOB) information for transshipment and destination offices.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure smooth booking execution.
• Track cargo movement and provide shipment updates using MSC tracking tools.
• Communicate sailing schedules, vessel delays, and service updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain routing guides and schedule databases, ensuring accuracy of trade‑related data in internal systems.
• Align with HQ, regional offices, and other teams to support company strategy and respond promptly to enquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration.
• 1–2 years of experience in the shipping industry.
• Experience in trade, customer service, operations, or capacity management is advantageous.
• Knowledge of container shipping services and routes is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with iSpace forecasting system.
• Experience using MSC tracking tools.
• Ability to manage routing guides and schedule databases.
