Operations Data Engineer

About the role

The Operations Data Engineer will support the company’s procurement, shipment and customs clearance processes in Phnom Penh. The role ensures that goods and services are sourced, ordered and delivered on time while complying with local regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market exploration for new sources of goods and services and review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track order delivery, resolve defects, damages or returns, and update the supplier database.
• Coordinate with transport agents and the customs department to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and quotations, and keep accurate records in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment management and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, technical specifications, and Cambodian tax and customs regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills; mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge is a plus.
