Substitute Teacher for Kindergarten

About the role

EFI is looking for on‑call substitute teachers to support its bilingual Kindergarten classes when regular homeroom teachers are absent. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic French‑English environment and ensure continuity of learning for young multilingual students.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plans left by the regular teacher, or create short‑term plans when necessary.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, engaging learning atmosphere.
• Deliver instruction in French, English, or both, according to the class’s needs.
• Communicate any observations or concerns to the school administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proficiency in French or English; fluency in both is a plus.
• Minimum of one year of teaching or substitute‑teaching experience.
• Experience in a bilingual teaching environment is advantageous.
