Solution Architect (Cloud & Network)

About the role

An experienced Solution Architect (Cloud & Network) is sought to lead the design, planning and architecture of cloud and enterprise network solutions. The role translates business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, highly available and cost-effective architectures covering cloud platforms, network infrastructure, security, connectivity and data centre integration, working with business stakeholders, infrastructure and security teams, vendors and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design cloud architecture for enterprise and government workloads, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, security, backup and disaster recovery
• Plan hybrid and multi-cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Oracle Cloud, ZStack) and migration strategies
• Design enterprise and data centre networks (LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, SD-WAN, inter-site), including segmentation, IP addressing, routing, redundancy and high availability
• Translate requirements into HLD and LLD, solution diagrams, network topologies and technical specifications
• Incorporate security, firewall, access control and disaster recovery into the architecture
• Estimate capacity and resources, coordinate with cloud, network, security, data centre and application teams, and review vendor proposals and BoQ
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, run architecture reviews and support risk assessments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Network Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, network or solution architecture
• Strong experience in cloud and network architecture, and in designing enterprise or data centre solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills
