Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage project costs from the pre‑construction phase through to completion, ensuring that each project remains within budget while meeting quality, contractual and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and detailed cost plans.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and compile or update Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare tender documentation and evaluate contractor/supplier quotations.
• Support the selection of contractors and suppliers based on tender analysis.
• Review and administer construction contracts and commercial terms.
• Monitor committed costs, budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
• Produce monthly cost and management reports.
• Verify site quantities and assess progress payment claims.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variation orders; maintain variation registers.
• Attend site and project meetings to resolve commercial issues.
• Negotiate final accounts and project settlements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the architecture and construction industry.
• Experience on residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial or mixed‑use projects is preferred.
• Membership of RICS, AIQS or an equivalent professional body is an advantage.
