Project Intern – Labour Mobility & Livelihoods

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Intern to support its Labour Mobility and Livelihoods Recovery Unit in Phnom Penh. Working under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the intern will gain practical exposure to project implementation and operational processes within IOM Cambodia and its field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of projects related to labour mobility and livelihoods recovery.
• Support the organization of trainings, workshops, meetings and stakeholder consultations.
• Help prepare project reports, maintain documentation and update project databases.
• Provide administrative, logistical and financial assistance as required by the project team.
• Coordinate with diverse partners and ensure smooth communication among stakeholders.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final academic year or holder of a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Humanitarian Affairs, Economic Development or related fields.
• Age between 20 and 36 years with less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an asset.
• Strong interest in labour migration, livelihoods recovery, community development or humanitarian programmes.

Required skills

• Experience supporting the organization of trainings, workshops or stakeholder meetings.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Basic understanding of administrative, logistical and financial processes in project settings.
