Programme Associate (Cambodia)

About the role

The Asia Centre is looking for a Programme Associate based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, who speaks and writes fluent English. The role supports the organisation of events, training sessions, speaking engagements and other external venues, including their promotion and marketing, speaker and participant management, and the administration and financial management of events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conceptualise seminars, conferences, speaking engagements and training sessions.
• Design promotional materials and market activities through email and social media.
• Draft proposals, budgets, event write-ups and reports supporting programme objectives.
• Handle logistics, catering and travel arrangements for events.
• Liaise with sponsors, donors, speakers, trainers, participants and vendors.
• Support the administration and financial management of the Centre's events and training.

Required profile

• Cambodian national, based in Phnom Penh.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences and humanities; other relevant degrees may be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in events management, promotion and marketing or a related role.
• Knowledge of democracy, human rights and civil society organisations is desired.
• Excellent spoken, written and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.

Required skills

• MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with Canva, WordPress and social media platforms.
• Event coordination, logistics, catering and travel management.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, and alternate Saturdays, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Applications are made through a Google form; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
