Program Officer – Education & Training

About the role

PeopleStories is seeking an energetic and motivated Program Officer to lead the newly created PeopleStories Career Academy in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The role focuses on designing and delivering high‑impact training programmes that help rural Cambodians develop critical career skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training courses for the Academy’s curriculum.
• Create interactive, internationally‑recognised learning experiences that are fit for purpose.
• Facilitate workshops for participants from diverse backgrounds and provide coaching for personal and professional growth.
• Build and maintain partnerships with the global PeopleStories team, local partner schools and the Department of Education.
• Promote community‑based outreach to increase support for education initiatives.
• Manage the Learning Management System, maintain records and conduct data analysis.

Required profile

• Fast learner, self‑motivated and passionate about improving education access in rural Cambodia.
• Strong project‑management experience, especially in educational projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Khmer.
• Commitment to the not‑for‑profit sector and community development.

Required skills

• Expertise in designing, developing and implementing educational projects.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
