Procurement & Customs Operator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Operator to support our procurement, shipment and customs clearance activities in Phnom Penh. The role will work closely with internal departments, suppliers and transport agents to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research for new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotes, perform quote analysis and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to monitor order status and delivery timelines.
• Update and manage supplier and price databases.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages or returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation in line with retention policies.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in procurement, shipment and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodian customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.
• Good negotiation and analytical abilities.
• English proficiency, both written and spoken.
