Procurement and Supply Chain Advisor – Malaria Commodities

About the role

The Procurement and Supply Chain Advisor will provide technical support to Cambodia's National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control (CNM) and the Central Medical Store. Working closely with FHI 360 and the U.S. Embassy, the Advisor will strengthen malaria commodity procurement, distribution and inventory management across national and sub‑national levels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support procurement, importation, customs clearance and delivery of U.S. Government‑funded malaria commodities.
• Create and manage requisition orders, obtain approvals and monitor lead times against supply plans.
• Assist CNM and the Ministry of Health with forecasting, quantification, supply planning and gap analysis.
• Develop and implement distribution strategies for high‑risk and border areas, especially along the Cambodia‑Thailand border.
• Provide technical assistance to update job aids and training curricula in English and Khmer.
• Monitor central stock, conduct ad‑hoc analyses, and prepare emergency distribution plans.
• Conduct field monitoring, collect end‑user feedback and inform procurement decisions.

Required profile

• Experience in public‑health procurement and supply chain management, preferably with malaria or other disease‑control programs.
• Familiarity with Cambodian Ministry of Health processes, customs regulations and duty‑waiver procedures.
• Strong analytical abilities to perform forecasting, quantification and stock‑level analyses.
• Excellent communication skills to work with government officials, NGOs and field staff.
