About the role

The Primary Homeroom Teacher/Early Years Homeroom Teacher creates a supportive, structured environment where young learners develop foundational academic skills, social‑emotional awareness, and cognitive growth. The role involves planning and delivering daily lessons that align with the school curriculum and fostering a safe, engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate daily lessons in line with grade‑level expectations and academic goals.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that supports learning and wellbeing.
• Assess student progress through ongoing documentation, provide timely feedback, and keep accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, portfolios, and attendance.
• Ensure English language lessons are understood and mastered at a high level.
• Integrate WAC/IEYC personal goals and school values into daily learning experiences.
• Collaborate closely with the Teaching Assistant for classroom management and student support.
• Communicate regularly with families, hold conferences, and provide updates on student development.
• Identify students needing additional support and coordinate with coordinators or management.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, field trips, and community activities.
• Contribute to academic quality assurance through reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Honest, highly responsible, reliable, and motivated.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive attitude, high commitment, and good integrity.

Required skills

• Excellent digital literacy for using educational technology and online resources.
