Logistics Assistant for UN Training Programme

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) seeks a Logistics Assistant to support the United Nations Department of Operational Support Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) training activities in Cambodia. The role ensures smooth logistics, asset management, and vendor coordination for multiple peacekeeping courses.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics requirements for all TPP courses, including material, transport, and fuel requests.
• Maintain accurate records of TPP assets and stores, handling receipt, inspection, and issuance.
• Compile and submit training material requests for approval by the TPP representative.
• Provide on‑site training support such as printing materials and video recording sessions.
• Assist with customs procedures for shipping TPP items from Cambodia to Thailand.
• Establish working relationships with the Cambodia National Centre for Peacekeeping Force Mine and ERW Clearance and training school staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certificate in logistics, transportation, supply management, business administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, contract management, or logistics support for training programmes.
• Fluency in English and Khmer; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of customs processes for international shipments.
• Experience with asset and inventory tracking.
• Ability to liaise with vendors, partners, and UN units.
