Imported Goods Assistant Manager

About the role

The Imported Goods Assistant Manager supports the Supply Chain Director by executing overseas purchase orders, forecasting demand and planning inventory to ensure product availability across the business. The role combines data‑driven analysis with cross‑functional collaboration to optimise stock levels and cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and raise purchase orders for Indent and Own Brand SKUs based on approved forecasts, budgets and stock targets.
• Monitor order status, adjust quantities and timing in response to demand changes and business priorities.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales, promotions, seasonality and trend analysis.
• Apply supplier lead‑time methodologies to set reorder points and maintain supply stability.
• Plan inventory levels to meet budgeted cover targets while managing overstock, slow‑moving and out‑of‑stock risks.
• Prepare regular inventory and demand planning reports and conduct ad‑hoc analyses for senior management.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations and supply‑chain teams to communicate inventory outlook, risks and action plans.
• Support the Import Goods Manager with planning insights for new store expansions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in demand planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation.
• Ability to work with large SKU portfolios and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented approach to order execution and inventory health monitoring.
• Effective communication skills for presenting insights and recommendations.
