Head of Accounting Department

About the role

The Head of Accounting Department will lead the bank’s accounting function, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This senior position is responsible for driving accounting excellence, supporting financial integrity, and guiding a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the bank’s IFRS adoption roadmap, design policies, and monitor consistent application across all reporting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and tax reports in line with Cambodian regulations and IFRS.
• Supervise centralized accounting activities, including capital contributions, provisions, fund allocations, and internal expenses.
• Develop and update accounting policies, internal controls, and audit‑readiness procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely audit completion.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing accounting team, fostering IFRS capabilities and a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and banking operations.
• Proven ability to lead financial reporting, internal controls, and audit coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
