Costing Engineer

About the role

Centric Brands is seeking a Costing Engineer to join its Production – Cost Engineering function. You will work closely with design, production, sourcing and vendor teams to develop cost‑effective apparel solutions that meet design intent and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor global commodity and labor cost fluctuations and report monthly to Sourcing leadership.
• Support early costing for new and innovative styles, validating cost viability against target price points.
• Run detailed GSD (Garment Sewing Development) sequences to establish baselines for cost negotiations.
• Analyze seasonal cost breakdowns, identify reduction opportunities and present recommendations to senior production leaders.
• Collaborate with factories on consumption, cuttable width and marker optimization, creating mini‑markers when needed.
• Assist Production Director/VP in cost negotiations, reviewing key drivers such as sewing minutes, cost per minute and efficiency.
