Container Truck Supervisor

About the role

The Container Truck Supervisor oversees a fleet of container trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods. You will lead drivers, manage daily operations, and act as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate container truck drivers and their daily activities.
• Assign trips, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure on‑time arrivals.
• Resolve operational issues, traffic accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and emergencies promptly.
• Communicate with customers, business owners, and relevant teams to align expectations.
• Control operational expenses such as fuel and spare parts with accountability.
• Maintain valid vehicle documentation, including inspections and road tax.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transport regulations.
• Record trips, expenses, driver activities, and vehicle documents accurately.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field (preferred).
• 2–3+ years of experience in container trucking, transportation, or logistics operations.
• Experience supervising truck drivers is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of container transportation and port operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple trucks and drivers.
• Basic computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Good English communication is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
