Consultant – Annual Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA)

About the role

ChildFund Cambodia is seeking an experienced consultant or firm to lead the Annual Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) for the Easy To Learn Phase III project in Chhloung district, Kratie Province. The role involves managing the full assessment cycle to inform program improvements and policy advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the annual EGRA data collection in selected schools.
• Train and supervise field enumerators on EGRA protocols.
• Analyze assessment data and produce a comprehensive report with actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate with ChildFund staff, local partners, and government officials to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Maintain compliance with ChildFund’s Child Protection Policy and provide a valid criminal record check.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced consultant or firm with a proven track record in early grade reading assessments.
• Familiarity with EGRA methodology and experience working in rural Cambodian contexts.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EGRA assessment tools and procedures.
• Data collection, cleaning, and statistical analysis.
• Report writing and presentation of findings.
