Chief Representative – Cambodia Logistics & Forwarding

About the role

The Chief Representative will act as the primary point of contact for VICO in Cambodia, overseeing market intelligence, customer support and coordination of cross‑border logistics between Cambodia and Vietnam. This senior position combines strategic monitoring of industry trends with hands‑on operational support to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor developments in the Cambodian logistics market, regulations and customs procedures.
• Track cross‑border logistics updates (Cambodia–Vietnam) and gather market data on key sectors such as garments, textiles, agriculture and manufacturing.
• Identify and assess local logistics partners, including trucking firms, warehouses and customs brokers.
• Serve as the local coordination hub for Cambodia‑related shipments, supporting operations and key‑account teams in issue resolution and customer enquiries.
• Assist with the implementation of new or renewed business involving Cambodia routes and understand basic logistics pricing and cost structures.
• Support the preparation of SOPs and operational guidelines, ensuring seamless handover to Operations and Finance teams.
• Represent VICO at logistics associations, industry groups, trade events, exhibitions and seminars, maintaining strong relationships with local stakeholders.
• Provide market insights to marketing and regional promotion teams and share operational knowledge to boost customer confidence.
• Recommend process improvements and cost‑saving ideas, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in logistics, freight forwarding or international trade.
• Strong understanding of Cambodia’s logistics and customs environment, with experience in cross‑border logistics (Cambodia–Vietnam preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluent in English; Khmer and/or Chinese are an advantage.
• Professional, reliable and capable of working independently.
