Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Lead Financial Institution

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead HFC (Cambodia) Microfinance PLC, a leading automotive financing and micro‑finance institution, steering its strategic direction and ensuring sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations and set the strategic vision for the company.
• Drive business growth and operational excellence across automotive financing and business lending.
• Lead the management team, fostering a high‑performance, customer‑focused culture.
• Manage financial planning, credit risk, collections and other core banking functions.
• Collaborate with shareholders, regulators and other stakeholders to optimise organisational performance.
• Align short‑term initiatives with long‑term objectives to achieve sustainable growth in the micro‑finance sector.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management or a related field.
• 10+ years in senior executive roles (CEO, COO, CBO, CFO) within banking or micro‑finance institutions.
• Proven expertise in credit, collections, credit risk and cross‑functional team management.
• Results‑driven, ethical, resilient and able to build high‑performance teams.
• Fluent English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills
