Manager, Actuarial Pricing

About the role

Manulife is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to lead its Actuarial Pricing team. The manager will own end‑to‑end life insurance pricing and product development, influencing business decisions and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pricing for new products, repricing exercises and enhancements, balancing profitability, risk, customer needs and market competitiveness.
• Own pricing deliverables such as assumption setting, actuarial modelling, profitability assessment, sensitivity testing and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Product, Distribution, Finance, Risk, Underwriting and Operations to deliver timely, commercially sound outcomes.
• Monitor post‑launch product performance, assess pricing adequacy and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Approximately 5–7 years of actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance pricing and product development.

Required skills

• Strong actuarial modelling and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with actuarial pricing software or other analytical tools.
