Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant to the Maintenance Manager to support procurement, supplier coordination and customs clearance activities for our operations in Phnom Penh. The role will work closely with the maintenance team, transport agents and the customs department to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring markets for new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotes based on approved purchase requests and prepare quote analyses for management approval.
• Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and service compliance with approved purchase orders and contracts.
• Update and maintain supplier, price and contact databases regularly.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages or returns.
• Update work status to requestors and issue quotations, purchase orders or contracts for departmental approval.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation in line with retention schedules.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Knowledge of procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of Cambodia customs and tax regulations.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
