Assistant Sales Area Manager

About the role

Kohnan Shoji, a leading Japanese home‑center retailer, is expanding its footprint in Cambodia. We are seeking an Assistant Sales Area Manager to support day‑to‑day store operations, drive sales initiatives, and ensure a vibrant "Fun Shopping" experience across our locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily store environment, including signage, merchandising displays, workshops, and on‑site communication.
• Implement and monitor customer development and retention plans, executing the 52‑week promotional calendar and seasonal campaigns.
• Track sales team KPIs, analyze POS data, and adjust floor stock and layout for optimal performance.
• Lead administrative duties, staff education, sales‑skill training, and leadership coaching following the "Shuhari" philosophy.
• Negotiate with suppliers for facility maintenance and manage day‑to‑day operational issues.
• Plan and execute off‑site popup events, handling logistics, staffing, and inventory.
• Audit consignment sales, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and revenue reconciliation.
• Act as interim store leader during urgent resignations or absences, maintaining seamless operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in high‑volume supermarkets, retail chains, or home‑center environments.
• At least three years in a Store Manager or Team Leader role, managing staff schedules, floor operations, and overall store performance.
