Air Freight Specialist

About the role

Maersk is seeking an Air Freight Specialist to manage export and import air shipments from its Phnom Penh office. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high‑quality, timely service while collaborating with internal teams and overseas partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily export and import air shipments, with a focus on export volume.
• Serve as the main customer service liaison, delivering timely and accurate information.
• Coordinate truck arrangements, packing, customs clearance, air space booking, transport document issuance, billing and communication.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, prepare customer reports, and process data for internal reporting.
• Negotiate with vendors, manage relationships, maximize gross profit, create and follow SOPs, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Handle ad‑hoc assignments and tasks delegated by the line manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of customer‑facing experience in a 3PL or logistics environment.
• Direct experience in air‑freight export is a strong advantage.
• Native Khmer proficiency and professional level English.
• Strong self‑organization, accuracy, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work overtime when business needs arise.
