Accountant – Full‑time, Phnom Penh

About the role

VCAT Professional Consultant is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Phnom Penh office. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Cambodian tax and accounting regulations, and supporting the management team with financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions and perform bookkeeping tasks.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles.
• Process payroll and ensure timely employee payments.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and assist with regular audits.
• Support tax preparation, filing, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide financial advice and analysis to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Cambodian tax regulations.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
