Test Engineering Manager

About the role

The Test Engineering Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software, electronics, mechanical, systems, and test development engineers. The role oversees the design, implementation, and verification of new product testers from concept through production deployment, ensuring high‑quality testing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute engineering design evaluations while managing resources, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure projects comply with organizational policies, standards, and objectives.
• Plan, prioritize, and achieve project goals using technical expertise.
• Develop and maintain engineering tools, technologies, and processes for current and future product testing.
• Create product requirements and detailed test plans, including schedules, risks, and milestones.
• Design and run cross‑training programs for engineering staff.
• Manage and develop the test development engineering team, allocating resources effectively.
• Coordinate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and operations to align development activities.
• Collaborate on product specifications to meet productivity and yield targets.
• Participate in peer reviews covering design, manufacturability, and testability.
• Apply configuration management and version‑control tools throughout development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in embedded software, test software, product testing, or test development.
• At least 3 years of experience managing engineering staff and projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex engineering projects.
