Tax and Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Tax and Accounting Specialist will join Hongo Tsuji’s Cambodia office in Chamkar Mon, working full‑time on‑site. The role supports both local and international clients by ensuring accurate tax compliance, preparing returns, and providing strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Review and finalize monthly and annual tax returns for corporate and individual clients.
• Prepare and file tax compliance documents in accordance with Cambodian regulations.
• Assist senior staff with tax planning strategies for local and cross‑border engagements.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, reconcile accounts, and produce financial statements.
• Interact with tax auditors and respond to audit queries.
• Research tax issues, prepare reports, working papers, and client documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and stay updated on tax law changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English; Khmer is a plus.
• Prior experience in a tax, audit or accounting firm is preferred, but motivated early‑career candidates are welcome.
