Supervisor, Engineering

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will oversee daily engineering and mechanical operations, coach technicians, and drive continuous improvement to ensure efficient and profitable plant performance. This role supports overall operational goals and aligns with company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily engineering activities, maintenance requests, and building upkeep.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans, ensuring timely sourcing of parts to minimize breakdowns.
• Monitor spare‑part needs for cost‑optimized unplanned stop reduction.
• Supervise facilities teams, third‑party contractors, and sub‑contractors, ensuring compliance with ISO (QMS, EMS, FSMS, GMP, HACCP) and occupational health & safety standards.
• Implement 7S (5S, Safety, Security) across plant areas.
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and take prompt corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and clear responsibilities for electrical and mechanical teams.
• Prepare daily operation reports, maintenance plans, and building maintenance updates for senior supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• 4–6 years of technical management experience, preferably in FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and a self‑starter attitude.
• Good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, and 5S.
• Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
