Steel Production Manager

About the role

The Steel Production Manager ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, are cost-effective and deliver products on time and of the right quality. The position reports to the General Manager and is based at the Ever Steel Factory on National Road 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day production and technical operations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for production, technical and machinery operations.
• Estimate costs and set quality standards, using effective quality management systems and procedures.
• Oversee product manufacture, including materials procurement and vendor management.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Work with the maintenance team or vendors to keep machines and tools in good condition.
• Manage raw material inventory with procurement and logistics teams.
• Keep workers productive and on their assigned tasks.
• Prepare and present regular production reports to the General Manager and keep accurate records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or MA degree in Engineering or a related field; understanding of construction is a plus.
• At least 5 years' experience in a production management role, preferably in building materials manufacturing, steel and metal fabrication.
• Proven experience managing a production team and optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
