Senior Credit Officer (AVP) – Phnom Penh

About the role

The bank is seeking a Senior Credit Officer (AVP) to lead client relationship management, credit advisory, and portfolio oversight at its Phnom Penh branch. The role combines business development, credit analysis, and risk management to support the branch’s growth and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute client visitation plans to nurture existing relationships and acquire new business.
• Provide credit advisory, process loan applications within authorized limits, and prepare documentation for higher‑value credit requests.
• Monitor credit limit utilization, ensure portfolio compliance with loan agreements, and align operations with bank policies.
• Formulate strategic and business plans for the branch and track performance against targets.
• Handle credit reporting, international trade transactions, and manage issuance of Letters of Guarantee.
• Review property appraisal reports and ensure they meet bank standards.
• Analyze investment opportunities in financial instruments where applicable.
• Prepare credit risk rating reviews and keep credit limit renewals up to date.
• Drive debt recovery, process restructuring requests, and oversee NPL asset maintenance and sale.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years experience in corporate lending, international trade finance, debt restructuring, or similar areas.
• Strong understanding of banking products, services, and international branch transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• High integrity, honesty, fairness, and a positive attitude toward the bank.
• Demonstrated potential for self‑development.
