Regulatory Compliance Officer

About the role

KB PRASAC BANK is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer based at its Head Office in Phnom Penh. The role supports the Manager of the Regulatory Compliance Unit in keeping the bank's policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and update the regulatory obligation register.
• Analyse legislative changes and emerging trends that could affect the bank's operations through gap analysis of policies and procedures.
• Assist the Manager in developing and reviewing regulatory compliance policies and documents.
• Ensure the bank meets its internal compliance obligations and that processes exist to flag actual or potential breaches.
• Develop regulatory compliance checklists and identify compliance issues, designing solutions and rectification plans.
• Help interpret regulatory requirements and turn them into bank policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Finance, Banking, Economics or another quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of experience as a legal officer, compliance or risk officer, auditor, teller or customer service officer is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Khmer and English (speaking and writing).
• Proactive, flexible, good team player, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, high integrity and discipline.

Required skills

• Good technical knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word and others).
• Broad knowledge of banking service methods, legal, savings, credit and banking procedures.
• Knowledge of the bank's target segments, coverage areas and work zones.
