Partnership & Communication Officer – South East Asia

About the role

The Regional Partnerships & Communication Officer supports the development and visibility of Fondation Mérieux’s activities across Asia. The role mobilises financial and strategic partnerships, maintains regular contact with technical and financial partners, identifies funding opportunities, and contributes to proposal preparation and donor reporting. It also assists in creating communication materials, promoting project results and strengthening engagement with donors and regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor the regional partnership strategy aligned with Fondation Mérieux’s priorities.
• Develop and oversee a resource mobilisation plan for Asia, identifying funding needs with country teams.
• Track donor priorities, map funding opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Proactively identify, pursue and secure national, regional and international funding.
• Prepare project proposals, donor reports and communication briefs.
• Collaborate with country teams, the Partnerships Division and the Communication team to ensure coherent messaging.
• Promote project outcomes and strengthen relationships with partners, donors and regional stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in international relations, public health, communications or a related field.
• Several years of experience in partnership development, fundraising or communications within an international NGO or similar organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi‑cultural teams.
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Southeast Asian contexts is an advantage.
