IT Security Operations Officer (SOC Analyst)

About the role

KB Prasac Bank is looking for an IT Security Operations Officer (SOC Analyst) based at its Head Office in Phnom Penh. The role covers monitoring security systems and alerts, investigating incidents and supporting security controls across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and alerts, and monitor security alerts from SIEM and monitoring systems
• Report and escalate security incidents promptly, and document security events and logs accurately
• Assist in security incident investigation and response, and support threat detection and analysis
• Maintain security monitoring logs and documentation
• Assist in implementing security controls for network, server and endpoint systems
• Prepare daily and weekly security reports
• Support password management and security monitoring tasks, and perform other tasks assigned by management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in IT security or IT infrastructure operations, including 1 year in banking or financial services
• Good English speaking, writing and listening; Khmer typing and computer literacy
• Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes incidents, with professionalism, discretion and teamwork
• Willingness to travel frequently to branch offices

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security monitoring tools
• Advanced proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and forensic tools (preferred)
• Certifications such as CEH or Cisco CyberOps Associate preferred
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet use
