Founder’s Associate & Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Founder’s Associate & Operations Lead to work side‑by‑side with TobSar’s CEO and CTO. Based at the AUPP Tech Center in Phnom Penh, you will act as the operational hub that connects technology development, merchant acquisition and daily execution, ensuring the company’s growth trajectory stays on track.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the CEO on growth targets, go‑to‑market priorities, investor deliverables and weekly KPI reporting.
• Partner with the CTO to translate merchant feedback, conversational edge cases and local language nuances into actionable product specifications and sprint priorities.
• Anchor the day‑to‑day operational cadence at the tech centre, facilitating daily stand‑ups, weekly sprint syncs and removing non‑technical bottlenecks for the engineering team.
• Lead outbound outreach to high‑volume Facebook retailers and boutique brands, conduct live product demos and guide new merchants through onboarding and the first week of platform use.
• Tri­age merchant issues, communicate bugs or conversational failures to the CTO and ensure rapid resolution during pilot chats.
• Coordinate with the Content Creator and Marketing Intern to align marketing assets with product capabilities and lead‑generation efforts.

Required profile

• High‑agency, self‑starter able to work closely with senior leadership.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain operational rhythm and cross‑functional alignment.
• Experience in merchant acquisition, onboarding or sales operations in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and familiarity with Khmer language nuances is a plus.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements.
