Farm Supervisor

About the role

The Farm Supervisor will lead daily farm operations, ensuring high standards of animal welfare and crop health while managing a team of assistants and laborers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily farm activities such as planting, harvesting, feeding, and cleaning.
• Assign tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with best farming practices.
• Operate and oversee farm equipment, reporting maintenance needs.
• Train new workers on safety procedures, tools, and farm protocols.
• Enforce health, safety, and bio‑security standards.
• Assist with workforce scheduling and planning.
• Monitor supplies and inventory of feed, seeds, tools, and bio‑products.
• Maintain basic production, attendance, and incident records.
• Support the Farm Manager in achieving production targets.

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Crop Production or related field (hands‑on experience may substitute).
• 1–2 years practical farm experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to live on‑site if required.
• Honest, reliable, disciplined attitude.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write and complete basic farm records and reports.
• Strong knowledge of crop and/or livestock management practices.
• Basic knowledge of fertilizers, bio‑pesticides, feeds and animal health.
• Ability to identify and report diseases, pests, or equipment faults.
