Environmental Specialist – International and National

About the role

SHELADIA Associates is seeking experienced Environmental Specialists to support a transport and tourism infrastructure consulting assignment in Cambodia. The role involves environmental screening, due‑diligence coordination, and integrating mitigation and climate‑resilience measures into design and bidding documents.

Key responsibilities

• Support environmental screening and due‑diligence for project preparation and detailed engineering design.
• Incorporate environmental mitigation, climate‑resilience, health and safety, and national compliance requirements into DED and bidding documents.
• Provide technical guidance, capacity building, and advice to the PMU on environmental management and safeguards.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management or related field.
• Minimum 17 years of professional experience, including at least 12 years in environmental management, monitoring or impact assessment for development‑partner financed projects.
• Experience on at least four relevant projects, familiarity with ADB environmental safeguards, and at least five projects in Southeast Asia.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Cambodia’s environmental regulations and climate adaptation measures.
• Expertise in environmental management plans for infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of ADB environmental safeguard requirements.
