Deputy Team Leader (National)

About the role

The Deputy Team Leader will support the Team Leader in managing day‑to‑day coordination of national transportation projects, ensuring effective communication with ministries and local authorities, and maintaining high‑quality outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader and manage daily coordination of project activities.
• Maintain communication with line ministries and local authorities.
• Monitor work planning, document flow, and quality tracking across all packages.
• Ensure timely completion and quality of project outputs.

Required profile

• Master's degree in civil engineering, project management, construction management, public administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 17 years of overall professional experience, including at least 12 years in detailed engineering design for roads, bridges, and transportation projects.
• Experience as Deputy Team Leader on at least three projects and 7 years on MDB‑financed projects (ADB, World Bank, etc.).
• Knowledge of government planning cycles, procurement procedures, and financial management mechanisms.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Detailed civil engineering design for roads, bridges, and transportation infrastructure.
• Project management methodologies.
• Experience with MDB financing and compliance.
• Understanding of government procurement processes.
