Cost Accounting Supervisor – Retail Business

About the role

The Cost Accounting Supervisor will oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting and fixed‑asset management for Wing Retail’s stores, warehouse, coffee business and Store Business Partner operations. The role ensures accurate valuation, reporting and financial controls while supporting operational efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inventory accounting, monitor valuation, COGS, stock adjustments and reconcile variances with Operations and Supply Chain.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, manage capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals and coordinate physical verification.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, prepare reconciliations and documentation for reporting and audits.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist ERP implementation and system enhancements, identify process improvements and collaborate with Operations, Procurement and IT.
• Supervise and coach the Cost Accounting team, promote cross‑functional collaboration and drive continuous development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in cost, inventory or financial accounting, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, warehouse, distribution or manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, cost and fixed‑asset accounting and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI (advantage).
