Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will lead commercial growth and market expansion for a freight forwarding business in Cambodia. You will be responsible for driving revenue, gross profit and market share across all product lines, including sea, air, trucking and brokerage services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute local commercial strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with direct customers, shippers and global freight forwarders operating through local partners.
• Build and manage pipelines with overseas agents, approaching potential partners and converting opportunities into contracts.
• Prepare pricing strategies, quotations and tenders while ensuring profitability and competitive pricing.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to adjust strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales performance data, pipelines and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with marketing to execute promotional campaigns and branding initiatives.
• Establish and nurture long‑term relationships with key customers, agents and internal support departments.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of business development experience in freight forwarding or logistics within Cambodia.
• Strong existing client portfolio and network of overseas partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Khmer; Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Relevant logistics or supply‑chain certifications are advantageous.
