Audit Manager – Financial & Compliance Audits

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead financial and compliance audit engagements for AGB Consulting’s clients in Phnom Penh. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning audits, assessing internal controls, reviewing financial statements and ensuring adherence to accounting and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit engagements, defining scope, objectives and timelines.
• Assess and test internal controls, identify risk areas and recommend improvements.
• Review and analyse financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead audit teams, assign tasks, review working papers and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations for client stakeholders.
• Mentor junior auditors and support the development of audit methodologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or similar certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in audit management or senior audit roles, preferably within consulting or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• High integrity, attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit and accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
