Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Assistant to the Maintenance Manager supports the procurement and logistics functions that keep the maintenance operation running smoothly. This role involves working closely with suppliers, customs agents, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research for new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotes, prepare quote analyses, and seek management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and service execution.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, or returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and contracts for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment, and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Knowledge of procurement practices in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of procurement, technical, customs, and tax regulations in Cambodia.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
