Technical Field Manager – Humanitarian Mine Action

About the role

The Technical Field Manager will lead the safe delivery of humanitarian mine action operations in Cambodia, overseeing field teams and ensuring the highest safety standards in complex, remote environments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor field teams delivering mine clearance, EOD and cluster munition work.
• Ensure compliance with MAG Standard Operating Procedures and conduct continuous risk assessments.
• Plan, survey, and monitor demining activities, adapting operations to changing conditions.
• Develop and implement field operation and administrative work plans.
• Provide technical support to the Technical Operations Manager for programme delivery.
• Coordinate community liaison and risk‑reduction education activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Humanitarian Mine Action programmes within conflict‑affected settings.
• Ability to operate independently in remote locations with limited supervision.
• Strong organisational, communication and reporting capabilities.
• Basic understanding of community liaison and its role in HMA delivery.
• Commitment to building team capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
